The RapidFor™️ Neutralizing Antibody Test Kit detects whether you have had COVID-19 in the past and now have antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Antibodies are proteins made by the immune system in response to viruses like SARS-CoV-2. After contact with the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus, it may take days or weeks for antibodies to form in the body.
IgG antibodies appear later in the blood. IgG antibodies remain in the blood long after the COVID-19 infection has cleared.
The test is used to detect the production of IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 after vaccination. Antibodies can be detected against vaccines from BioNTech/Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson&Johnson and Sinovac Life Sciences that elicit an immune response against the spike protein.
